After several months of deliberation, the new university that is forming in Spokane, WA is very pleased to announce its new name to the public: Great Northern University. This name is inspired by its geographic location in the northern United States, as well as the distinctive independent and entrepreneurial culture of the U.S. Pacific Northwest, where it is located. To the university administration, the name Great Northern University conveys a sense of fortitude, reliability, and discovery.
