This August, the Board of Trustees at Great Northern University welcomed John Boyd to the team. The University's President, Dr. Wendy Liddell, reflected on this appointment: “I appreciate Mr. Boyd’s love for the Lord, his passionate commitment to serve God and His work, his wisdom, and his sense of humor. I am grateful for Mr. Boyd’s vast executive leadership experience in both for-profit and non-profit organizations that will strengthen the leadership of Great Northern University’s board. Truly, I look forward to working with him as we serve the Northwest community and the world.”
Mr. Boyd joined the Board of Trustees because of “God's leading and a sense of call to serve on the Board, aligned with the clear vision of GNU to be a Christian institution that educates individuals to engage and transform the world.” Mr. Boyd stated, “I look forward to seeing how our Lord directs our steps as we collectively seek to navigate the future using the experiences, gifts, and skills we have to expand the reach of GNU. We have such an opportunity to come alongside individuals who sincerely wish to have their Christian faith integrate with every aspect of their lives through a Great Northern University education.”
Mr. John Boyd serves as the President and CEO at The Institute for Global Engagement. Prior to joining this organization in November of 2018, he served as the President and CEO of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Nampa, Idaho.
