The Board of Trustees at Great Northern University welcomed Richard "Ric" Rocca to the team this past August of 2019. President Liddell expressed her gratitude for his commitment to Great Northern University: “Mr. Rocca has engaged with Great Northern University from the beginning. I have been grateful for his background in business and entrepreneurship; his desire to equip, train, and educate the next generation, especially business leaders; and his wise and thoughtful encouragement. I am thankful for his willingness to serve and to strengthen our Board and Great Northern University with his expertise.”
For Mr. Rocca, service on the board of trustees at Great Northern University aligns with one of his life-long areas of investment: education. He stated, “I have always had a passion for education. Being on the board provides an opportunity for me to exercise that passion in a manner that serves the Lord. It is very exciting to be a part of GNU as it develops Christian students that engage and transform the world.” Mr. Rocca also believes that “God has lead me to be involved in the continued growth of Great Northern University—in whatever capacity I can serve. It will be exciting to see the plans God has for GNU as He leads us in furthering our mission of providing collegiate education to students that want to integrate the Christian faith into every aspect of their lives. I am humbled and inspired to work with the dedicated faculty and staff at GNU.”
Mr. Rocca and his wife Kathy are local business owners, and Mr. Rocca has a corporate business background.
