Spokane, WA: Great Northern University is pleased to announce that it has received a determination letter from the IRS acknowledging its 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit organization. This letter also identifies Great Northern University as a Public Charity under section 170(b)(1)(A)(ii), allowing donors to make tax-deductible contributions.
The IRS determination letter notes the effective date of exemption as January 2nd, 2018, which is also the date that Great Northern University was incorporated in the State of Washington.
Great Northern University was founded in Spokane, WA in November of 2017 to provide biblically based, Christian higher education in Eastern Washington, and the entire Pacific Northwest. Great Northern University has the mission of a Bible college, the relevance of Christian liberal arts, and a vision for whole-person transformation.
